Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 12 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the garlic: Peel the garlic cloves and set them aside, enjoying the aroma.
  2. Make the brine: In a saucepan, combine equal parts white vinegar and water, adding salt and sugar to taste.
  3. Add spices: Stir in red pepper flakes, mustard seeds, and whole black peppercorns.
  4. Heat the brine: Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Pack the jars: Place garlic cloves into sterilized jars and pour the hot brine over them.
  6. Seal and cool: Seal the jars and let them cool to room temperature.
  7. Refrigerate: Allow the pickled garlic to sit in the refrigerator for at least a week before enjoying.

Notes
