Description

Delightful homemade cookies with gooey chocolate chips and a perfect balance of crunch and softness.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until well combined.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually incorporate this into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop portions of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each mound.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

For extra chewy cookies, use more brown sugar and slightly underbake. Store baked cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
