Description

A stunning dessert featuring layers of delicate crepes and luscious whipped cream, topped with fresh fruits or chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Fresh fruit or chocolate for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet, swirling gently. Cook until edges are lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for an additional minute.
  3. Transfer each crepe to a wire rack to cool completely while stacking them lightly.
  4. In a separate, chilled bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Layer the cooled crepes with whipped cream, spreading evenly between each. Stack them high.
  6. If desired, top with fresh fruits or a drizzle of chocolate.
  7. Chill your cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

You can make the crepes and whipped cream a day in advance. For better results, use parchment paper between stacked crepes.
