Description

Delightful and whimsical Mermaid Cupcakes with vibrant colors and creamy buttercream frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • Food coloring (blue, green, purple)
  • Buttercream frosting
  • Decorative mermaid sprinkles or edible glitter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter into three bowls and add food coloring to each for a marbled effect.
  7. Layer the colored batters into your cupcake liners, swirling with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
