- Combine the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mix 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of instant yeast until evenly incorporated.
- Add the water: Pour in 1 1/2 cups of warm water. Stir with a wooden spoon until all the flour is absorbed and the mixture is thick and shaggy.
- Time to rise: Cover the bowl with a damp cloth. Let the dough rest at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
- Preheat the oven: About 30 minutes before baking, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the Dutch oven inside to heat up.
- Shape the dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and turn out the dough. Shape it into a rough ball.
- Bake it: Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven. Use parchment paper to lift your dough and place it inside. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
