- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a large pot over medium heat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent and the peppers are tender, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Combine the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Incorporate the elbow macaroni, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cover. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- Serve hot, ladled into bowls, and top with grated cheese if desired.
