Description

A hearty and comforting dish with seasoned beef, sautéed vegetables, and creamy macaroni that brings nostalgia to the dining table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a large pot over medium heat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until the onion is translucent and the peppers are tender, approximately 3-5 minutes.
  3. Combine the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Incorporate the elbow macaroni, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cover. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
  5. Serve hot, ladled into bowls, and top with grated cheese if desired.

Notes

Make-ahead for easy meal prep. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
