Description

Delight in the rich chocolatey flavor of these homemade Oreo cupcakes, featuring a creamy frosting and crunchy Oreo bits.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oreo cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your muffin tin with colorful cupcake liners.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a large bowl and mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until distributed throughout the batter.
  4. Divide the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely in the tin.
  7. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with whipped cream and top with an additional Oreo cookie.

Notes

Cupcakes can be made up to 2 days in advance. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
