- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian seasoning to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, bacon, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned, about 7-10 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce, allowing it to bubble for a few moments.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until creamy.
- Assemble your lasagna in a 9×13 inch baking dish by layering meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce topped with extra mozzarella.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is golden.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can assemble the lasagna a day in advance and bake it directly from the fridge, adding a few extra minutes to the bake time.
