- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- Red and blue food coloring (optional)
- Whipped cream or frosting (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, mixing gently.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a silicone spatula.
- Divide the dough into muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and top with whipped cream and food coloring.

For best results, let butter come to room temperature and avoid over-mixing the batter.
