Description

Delightful peanut butter bars topped with rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Incorporate the flour, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt, stirring until just combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan using a rubber spatula.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are light golden brown.
  6. Cool the bars for 10-15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Prepare the chocolate topping by melting chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  8. Top the cooled bars with the melted chocolate, spreading evenly, and allow to set.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
