- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Incorporate the flour, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan using a rubber spatula.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are light golden brown.
- Cool the bars for 10-15 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Prepare the chocolate topping by melting chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Top the cooled bars with the melted chocolate, spreading evenly, and allow to set.
- Cut into squares and serve.
