Description

Delightful skewers featuring savory sausages paired with sweet, caramelized pineapple and a glossy brown sugar glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of cocktail sausages (smokies)
  • 1 cup of pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • Skewers (bamboo or metal)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the brown sugar and soy sauce in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Thread a cocktail sausage and a pineapple chunk onto each skewer, alternating for color contrast.
  4. Brush the skewers generously with the brown sugar and soy sauce mixture.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven, cooking for about 10-15 minutes, or until caramelized.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Assemble skewers a day in advance and store covered in the fridge. Can also be cooked in an air fryer at 375°F for 8-10 minutes.
