Description

A refreshing summer drink that combines the sweetness of raspberries with the tartness of lemons, creating a vibrant and invigorating beverage.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 5 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and raspberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by making the raspberry syrup. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water. Place it over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Strain the mixture. Once the raspberries have broken down and turned the liquid a stunning pink hue, remove it from the heat. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or back into the saucepan, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the seeds and pulp.
  3. Add the zest. Stir in 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and the additional 5 cups of cold water. Taste your lemonade, adjusting sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or water to taste.
  4. Serve and enjoy. Fill glasses with ice and pour the refreshing mixture over. Garnish with lemon slices and a few fresh raspberries for a beautiful presentation!

Notes

For an adult twist, consider adding a splash of vodka or gin. Experiment with herbs like mint or basil for an aromatic twist!
