Description

A beautifully roasted pork shoulder, seasoned and cooked to tender perfection, perfect for gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 pounds pork shoulder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and let it warm up.
  2. Rub the pork shoulder all over with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a roasting pan.
  4. Pour chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce around the pork in the pan.
  5. Cover the pan with aluminum foil to trap moisture during roasting.
  6. Roast in the oven for about 4-5 hours until tender.
  7. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to create a golden-brown crust.
  8. Let the pork rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with gravy made from the drippings, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

You can season the pork shoulder the night before for deeper flavor. Substitute with another shoulder cut if desired.
