Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape the mixture into oval-shaped patties, about ¾-inch thick.
- Sear the patties in olive oil over medium heat for about 4 minutes per side.
- Sauté the onions and garlic in the same skillet until softened.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
- Simmer with beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then return patties to skillet and cover for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve the patties topped with the mushroom gravy.
Notes
Prepare patties ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. For quicker cooking, use an air fryer or oven bake.
