Description

A delightful dessert that combines the chewy essence of snickerdoodles with tender cinnamon-spiced apples in a warm, golden cobbler.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of sliced apples
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine your sliced apples with brown sugar in a mixing bowl and let them sit.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  4. Mix together the melted butter, vanilla extract, milk, and egg in a separate bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
  6. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the batter evenly into it.
  7. Layer the apple mixture on top, allowing the apples to submerge slightly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Try serving with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for an extra indulgent treat.
