Description

A soft and tangy sourdough sandwich bread that brings comfort and versatility to your meals.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add the sourdough starter and lukewarm water to the mixture.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise for 1-2 hours.
  5. Punch down the dough gently and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Place the loaf in a greased baking pan and let it rise for another hour.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider doing an overnight rise in the fridge. You can also customize the bread with herbs or spices.
