- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the sourdough starter and lukewarm water to the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise for 1-2 hours.
- Punch down the dough gently and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased baking pan and let it rise for another hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider doing an overnight rise in the fridge. You can also customize the bread with herbs or spices.
