Description

Delicious and crispy crackers made from sourdough discard, perfect for snacking or pairing with dips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Seasonings of choice (e.g., garlic powder, dried herbs, sesame seeds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, and salt in a bowl until a dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough into a thin sheet on a floured surface, aiming for 1/16th of an inch thickness.
  4. Cut into desired shapes using a pizza cutter or knife, then transfer to a lined baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle with your choice of seasonings for added flavor.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and aromatic.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the dough in advance and freeze unbaked shapes for later. An air fryer can also be used for a quicker method.
