Description

Indulge in flaky Sourdough Ham & Cheese Croissants that merge sophistication with homestyle warmth, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 batch Croissant Dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 slices Sliced Ham (smoked or honey)
  • 8 slices Sliced Cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (melted, for brushing)
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the croissant dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into triangles, approximately 5 inches wide at the base.
  4. Layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle at the wider end.
  5. Roll the triangles from the wide end toward the tip, tucking in the edges slightly.
  6. Arrange the rolled croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush with a mixture of melted butter and beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Enjoy warm for best flavor.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare croissants up to the rolling stage, refrigerate overnight, and bake fresh in the morning. Can be frozen before baking.
