Description

A refreshing blend of brewed black tea and fresh strawberries, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black tea or sweet tea)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a sturdy pot over medium heat until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add the 4 tea bags. Allow them to steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags with a slotted spoon or tongs. Then, stir in the 1 cup of sugar until it fully dissolves.
  4. Add the sliced strawberries to the sweet tea. Let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Combine with 2 cups of cold water, stirring gently to maintain the harmony of flavors.
  6. Serve over ice, garnishing with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, brew the tea a day in advance and let it chill in the refrigerator. You can also use a cold brew method.
