Description

A luscious and airy stabilized whipped cream frosting, perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes, and fresh fruits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Add the cold heavy whipping cream to a chilled mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk the cream on medium speed until it begins to thicken.
  3. Incorporate powdered sugar and vanilla extract on low speed.
  4. Increase the speed to medium-high until soft peaks form.
  5. Sprinkle in cornstarch while continuing to whisk.
  6. Use the frosting immediately or cover and refrigerate until needed.

Notes

Chilling your mixing bowl and beaters makes for faster whipping. Avoid over-whipping to maintain texture.
