- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 12 oz noodles, such as lo mein, udon, or spaghetti
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (for noodles)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain well, then toss them with sesame oil.
- Prepare the chicken by tossing it with cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Sauté the chicken in olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 4–6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the sauce by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Thicken the glaze by stirring in any leftover cornstarch slurry, cooking for 1–2 minutes.
- Combine the cooked noodles with the chicken and sauce in the skillet, tossing until fully coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Serve with steamed broccoli or crispy spring rolls for a complete meal. Feel free to customize with your favorite veggies.
