Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set them aside for about 10 minutes.
- Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Layer the strawberries and their juice on top of the batter.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixed with vanilla over the strawberries.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
