- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan generously.
- Combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- Whip the cream with powdered sugar (if using) until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream generously over the cooled bars.
- Arrange the sliced strawberries on top.
- Slice into bars and serve immediately.
Notes
These bars can be made ahead of time. Assemble a day before, adding strawberries just before serving.
