Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until combined in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter until smooth in another bowl. Add the egg and milk, mixing well.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  8. Sprinkle the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  10. Slice into pieces, about 1-inch thick, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  12. Serve warm with whipped cream on top.

Notes
