Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until combined in a medium bowl.
- Cream the softened butter until smooth in another bowl. Add the egg and milk, mixing well.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Slice into pieces, about 1-inch thick, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Serve warm with whipped cream on top.
