Description

Deliciously baked stuffed bell peppers filled with savory ground beef, rice, and topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onions and garlic until softened.
  4. Stir in ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as needed.
  5. Incorporate cooked rice and tomato sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Stuff each pepper with the beef mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize the filling with different meats or make it vegetarian by using lentils or beans.
