Description

A delightful appetizer featuring smoky sausages coated in a sweet and spicy pineapple glaze, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Lil Smokies sausages
  • 1 cup pineapple preserves
  • 12 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the pineapple preserves, diced jalapeños, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir it all together and heat over medium flame until warmed through and well mixed.
  3. Add the Lil Smokies to the saucepan, stirring to coat each sausage in the sauce.
  4. Allow to continue cooking for about 5-10 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
  5. Serve warm on a platter with toothpicks for easy eating.

Notes

Make the sauce a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. You can also use an air fryer for quick cooking.
