Description

A refreshing Mediterranean-inspired salad combining tuna, chickpeas, and a creamy tzatziki dressing, perfect for light lunches or picnics.


Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Za’atar pita chips for serving
  • Lettuce cups or wraps for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the drained tuna and chickpeas in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Prepare the tzatziki dressing by whisking together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Combine the tzatziki mixture with the tuna and chickpeas, folding it in gently.
  4. Serve the salad immediately with crispy Za’atar pita chips or in lettuce wraps.

Notes

For make-ahead meals, prepare the salad a day in advance and keep the pita chips separate until serving for added crunch.
