Description

A timeless classic pound cake with a perfect balance of sweetness and buttery flavor, ideal for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract until evenly distributed.
